وقال:
إنَّ المذاهب المختلفة لم تستقبل فكرة غلق باب الاجتهاد بقدرٍ واحدٍ، فإذا كانت الفكرةُ قد لاقتْ في المذهبين: الحنفي والشافعي رواجًا، فإنها لم يكن لها مثل الرواج في المذهب المالكي، وإنْ كان للفكرة أثر فيه، أمَّا المذهب الحنبلي، فقد قرر فقهاؤه وجوبَ أنْ لا يخلو عصرٌ من العصور من مجتهد.
